Based in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, Serge Gedeon is Director, Business Operations & Execution for Worley Consulting in the Americas. With over two decades in heavy industry, he began as a telecom and communications engineer building cabling systems and data centers. He then moved into consulting, leading projects and programs, taking on product roles to help customers deliver complex projects.

After relocating to Canada, Serge joined Vale Base Metals in Operational Excellence. There he designed and implemented a performance management platform with embedded improvement routines. Four years ago, he joined Worley, progressing from Senior Project Manager to Senior Portfolio Manager and into his current role.

Shaping the next decade of project delivery

One of Serge’s biggest challenges is when customers expect technology alone to solve their problems. Without the right processes and people at the core, even the most advanced solutions fall short.

Looking ahead, he wants to see AI-driven, fully integrated project delivery models that use real-time data, predictive analytics, automation and low-carbon solutions to anticipate risk and optimize performance.
