Cross-country growth in Bogotá and beyond

When you feel included, you’re empowered to do more.

Daniela of Worley

When Daniela joined us as a graduate in March 2024, she didn’t expect her role to expand across two countries in just a year. But that’s exactly what happened – because when you show potential, people notice.

Not long after she started, a new challenge emerged – covering a maternity leave in Peru. The recommendation came directly from the People Director. “That was a huge moment for me,” she says. “It meant they saw something in me.”

Two countries, one role

From her home office in Bogotá, Daniela began supporting an entirely different legal and operational landscape. Learning Peru’s payroll, adapting to local regulations, and understanding cultural nuances – all while continuing her work in Colombia – was no small feat. “At first, it was overwhelming,” Daniela admits. “New rules, new systems, a different country – but it helped me see what I’m capable of.”

What made it possible was the shared purpose she felt across teams. “No matter your country or your title, everyone is open, respectful and ready to help,” Daniela says. “That’s what makes Worley special.”

“When I started, I was handling basic processes like filing documents and coordinating onboarding,” she says. “But now I’m involved in payroll, legal compliance and cross-country projects.”

Today, Daniela’s insights help shape processes across Latin America. “I’m proud to be part of something bigger – supporting regional consistency and helping teams work more efficiently across borders.”

Putting wellbeing first

In Colombia, employees enjoy “birthday off” and half-day Fridays. For Daniela, these small benefits make a big difference. “I live with my boyfriend and my three cats. That extra time means I can truly be with them – not just working from home but enjoying life with them.”

Even when work gets busy – like during payroll cycles – she feels the balance is there. “Some days are longer, but I know I’ll have time to recharge. And the flexibility means I don’t miss out on what matters.”

It’s this respect for wellbeing that fuels Daniela’s commitment. “When you’re trusted to take care of both your job and your life, you give your best.”

Across roles, languages and countries, Daniela sees one unifying thread: “Worley is people focused. Supportive. Inclusive. Growth-oriented. And when you feel included, you’re empowered to do more.”

A career built by flexibility

Our openness to learning let her shape her path. “I’ve gone from helping with onboarding in Bogotá to supporting payroll in Peru and regional inductions across Latin America,” she says. “And each new challenge has helped me grow.”

Her career journey is guided by recognition, not hierarchy. “The fact that I was recommended for new responsibilities – it meant everything. It’s not just about what you’ve done, it’s about what you’re capable of.”

What has always stood out for Daniela, and what continues to drive her, is our culture. “It doesn’t matter what your title is or where you’re from – people listen.”
