Growth, grounded in real delivery
The most important part of what we do is making it actionable; giving customers something they can actually implement.
Claudia Millar Castillo, Graduate Management Consultant, has never been one to shy away from a challenge.
A lover of salsa dancing, she was introduced to samba in 2022, connecting immediately with the community and culture. From there, weekly classes turned into performing at carnivals, and soon, she’ll be adding London’s Notting Hill Carnival to the list.
At work, she takes on a different challenge: helping the industries that operate 24/7 to decarbonize.
Working across refineries and industrial assets, she’s improving efficiency, exploring technologies like carbon capture and helping customers find solutions that actually work on the ground.
“I like how varied it is,” she says. “You’re constantly learning and figuring things out.”
Where impact becomes real
For Claudia, the impact of delivering that kind of work only really lands when you see it up close.
During a refinery project in sub-Saharan Africa, she supported construction monitoring as the site moved towards commissioning – assessing progress, walking the site and contributing to reports that informed key decisions.
“It completely changes your perspective,” she says. “You can’t really picture it until you’re standing there.”
Seeing the size of the equipment, the complexity of the systems and the people behind it all brought a new level of understanding.
“You realize it’s not just about installing equipment. It’s everything around it.”
From logistics and supply chains to funding and timelines, every element Worley plays a role in contributes to delivering a successful outcome.
Backed by people who make it happen
Through initiatives like the Supergen Bioenergy Impact Hub, Claudia works at connecting industry challenges with academic research to drive meaningful impact.
Earlier this year, she was asked to step up and present at the Supergen Industry Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Forum. Something she’d never done at that level before. It would’ve been easy to say no. But Claudia doesn’t just do what’s easy.
“That’s how you grow; by saying yes to things that feel challenging.”
With support from her team – run-throughs, tough questions, last-minute nerves – she delivered it. And more importantly, realized she could. A pattern she’s seen again and again. “When something new comes up, people really rise to it,” she says. “There’s a real drive to figure it out and deliver value.” And for Claudia, that value extends far beyond individual projects.
Whether it’s supporting aviation fuel strategies or monitoring large-scale infrastructure projects, the outcomes of her work contribute to how industries evolve and people experience energy every day.
Making impact count
Across every project, the focus remains the same: turning ideas into delivered outcomes that hold up in the real world.
Because real impact isn’t about having the answer straight away.
It’s about asking the right questions, working through complexity and delivering something that makes a difference.
