Worley Rosenberg awarded contract for Watermoon® closed submersible fish tank units

Worley Rosenberg has been awarded a contract by Eide for the fabrication and assembly of three closed, submersible fish tank units, supporting the industrialization of zero‑emission aquaculture technology.

The scope of work includes fabrication of steel top and bottom modules and assembly of the complete units at Worley Rosenberg’s facilities at Buøy in Stavanger. Each assembled Watermoon unit will be approximately 24 meters high, representing a technically advanced fabrication and assembly project drawing on Worley Rosenberg’s extensive industrial experience.

The Watermoon patented submersible units hold fish to maturity. It creates an optimal environment for fish by protecting against sea lice, collecting waste and controlling the temperature.

The project marks an important step in Worley Rosenberg’s continued positioning toward new production technologies and sustainable industrial solutions, applying offshore fabrication competence to the rapidly developing aquaculture sector.
