Worley announces Group Executive changes to simplify, accelerate AI transformation

Worley today announced changes to its Group Executive team to simplify its structure, streamline governance and accelerate the company’s transition to an AI‑enabled organization.

Effective November 1, Laura Leonard will take up the role of Chief AI and Enterprise Services Officer. This group brings together a number of corporate functions including Digital, Transformation, Risk, Sustainability, and Corporate Affairs, with three existing Group Executive members moving to report to Laura. This consolidates resources that support operations and reduces the size of Worley’s Group Executive team from twelve to nine.

In addition to the roles each of these functions perform supporting Worley’s operations, the group has the mandate to accelerate Worley’s transformation to an AI‑enabled organization safely, ethically and at pace.

“AI and Enterprise Services reflects the critical role AI will play in enabling our strategy,” said CEO Chris Ashton. “Beyond their enterprise roles, this team is charged with leading our transformation into a digitally enabled company with AI‑supported full project delivery capability. For two years we have been laying a strong foundation for AI – these organizational changes accelerate the next stage of our digital transformation.”

The changes mark a strategic step aligning with future‑focused priorities, driving accountability, agility and innovation across the organization, while simplifying and streamlining Worley’s leadership structure.

Chris Ashton thanked Sue Brown, Karen Furlani and Adrian Smith for their contributions as members of the Group Executive team.

From November 1, Worley’s Group Executive team will be:

  • Chris Ashton, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
  • Mark Brantley, Group President, Global Operations

  • Andy Hemingway, Executive Group Director, Growth
