Worley enters into
agreement to sell
Worley Power Services to
SPIE Global Services Energy

Worley has entered into an agreement to sell its Worley Power Services business in Australia to SPIE, parent company of SPIE Global Services Energy, a global energy company with local presence.

SPIE Global Services Energy has expertise in operations, maintenance and asset integrity across the entire energy production and infrastructure chain.

The decision to sell WPS is part of Worley’s strategy to simplify the business and focus on its core growth priorities.

“The Power Services team has played a vital role supporting Australia’s energy sector over many years,” said Gillian Cagney, President Global Operations – APAC. “SPIE Global Services Energy, with its deep expertise in operations and maintenance and strong Australian presence, is well positioned to drive the team’s continued success.”

Christophe Bernhart, Managing Director of SPIE Global Services Energy said, “The acquisition of Worley Power Services, renamed SPIE Power Services on completion of the acquisition, will complement our current activities in Australia and will allow us to gain a strong footprint in our traditional core of Operations, Maintenance and Asset Integrity in the green energy sector, supporting the SPIE’s strategy.”

WPS employs approximately 300 people and has provided dedicated power sector operations and maintenance to many of Australia’s electricity generation facilities and infrastructure for over 20 years.
