Worley wins Most Innovative Company, Large Organization, at AFR’s annual awards
Worley has been named the Most Innovative Company in the Large Organization category at the Australian Financial Review BOSS Most Innovative Companies 2026 awards.
The recognition reflects a commitment to helping customers solve increasingly complex challenges through innovation, technology and engineering excellence.
The award recognizes Worley’s Integrated Pipeline Digital System (IPDS), bringing engineering and project data from multiple systems into one connected, data‑centric solution. It also recognizes Worley’s broader innovation culture and practices.
IPDS was created in response to a challenge familiar to many project teams. Critical engineering and project information is often stored across multiple systems, documents and disciplines, making data difficult to access, manage and use consistently throughout a project lifecycle.

Solutions like IPDS are part of Worley’s digitally-enabled project delivery approach; bringing efficiencies by reducing time spent on manual information processing, making faster and more predictable project delivery.
This award reinforces the role innovation plays in helping to improve outcomes, accelerating project delivery and unlock greater value for customers.
IPDS: Solving a common industry challenge
Working closely with customers, Worley identified an opportunity to create a more connected approach. The result was IPDS, which brings engineering and project data together into a single digital environment, enabling teams to spend less time managing information and more time making informed decisions.
The solution evolved from a real project challenge into a scalable offering. Working together with customers and combining deep engineering knowledge with digital expertise, the team was able to test and scale the solution while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes.
This approach reflects how Worley develops innovation across its business: identifying real-world problems, working alongside customers to understand needs, and delivering solutions that create measurable value. The same mindset underpins initiatives across the company, from advancing low‑carbon technologies and AI‑enabled capabilities to supporting large‑scale energy, resources and industrial developments around the world.
Today, the solution is operational across four oil, gas and hydrogen projects globally and is helping improve productivity, data quality and project predictability. This scalable digital capability is now being introduced across more Worley projects, helping to expand value across customer’s asset lifecycle.
